One day Pat decided to try something different for lunch and got some chopped meat from the butcher shop. Geno’s tasted good as well, but the particular steak seemed skimpy on the meat.Maybe there is just more variability in Geno’s? Pat on the other hand, has a no-frills white storefront with faded red tables for customers to dine at. Obviously its tastier than provo on a cheese steak… Your review should have only been published with a like for like comparison… And the only thing anyone should really take out of this review is how they slice their meat… That’s all…I love Pats..I used to go to Genos all the time and then I ventured across the street one day just to try it and I was hooked..The rest of my family likes Genos better but I’m a Pats girl!!
Before I knew it, I had the Pat’s Philly cheesesteak in my hand.It was bigger than I expected. I’ve tried cheesesteaks before but I thought since I was going to be in Philly, it was about time I tried the best. No surprise, it was delicious and you could tell they use high-quality ingredients, just like Pat does. All in all just okay. i think you should go back to Pat’s, order a cheese wiz wit, and then realize why: there’s always a line, people drive hundreds of miles to go, and I’m obsessed.I am definately a Genos fan because pats philly was as bland as the faded red tables.A few weeks back, a friend and I conducted a similar taste test. geno’s the meat was not consistent throughout the sandwich. All in all a great experience for the kids, but the prices have gotten out of control. It's not cute if you're rude to visitors that don't know the "art of ordering a cheesesteak." On top of that they are expensive - 2 cheese steaks, one order of fries, a water and a diet Coke was $32.We were visiting Philadelphia and we went for a philly steak at Geno’s but I wasn’t impressed and pat’s place was across the road so we went for a second sandwich there, but honestly it was amazing, the sandwich was juicy the meat was cut in small pieces that it was mixed well .Our first time trying a true Philly cheesesteak and it was great!
