There was definitely a lot of improvement from last week's "What Kate Does." Jack attempts to follow through with Daniel Faraday's plan to detonate the hydrogen bomb after Faraday is killed, Locke instructs Alpert to take him to Jacob, and Sawyer is interrogated about an incriminating surveillance video. Jacob says someone will replace him - but MIB says he will just kill them too. The smoke monster comes billowing out, sweeping into the jungle.

I was pleasently surprised to hear Ben say that Locke was a better man than he would ever be. Frank's reaction to that was hilarious to see.In flashbacks, the episode title's meaning is revealed: Locke is a substitute teacher.
