The CIBC has no idea what's wrong, but I suspect the first four digits of the card are not being verified by the seller's shopping cart systems.I got the new Advantage card, to use online. Seems a bit strange, but i got my tickets now :-)no .com site that took this card before they added the chip to it takes it now. She was actually very polite and understanding about their useless (DIS)ADVANTAGE Card. Anyway now I am hooked into CIBC for three months at least paying for an account which I didn't need with a VISA Debit card which I can't seem to purchase things online with. I also realized I overpaid them before and wanted the money back. My wife has the same issues with hers. Was a no go, said to try another card, so i'm transferring funds to my BMO card instead and will post an update here if that works.For those who had a traditional visa credit card that was "enhanced" with the chip - is this not breach of contract? So when will the merchants get on board with this like the rest of the world? Looking through the comments here, I can't believe that in two years they haven't managed to resolve the issues with this card. Really though I am quite happy with it.
I went there any they said the only way they could do it would be through Visa. But I have not had success with some other sites like when I tried to renew my Norton Antivirus or buy a Groupon.hmmm old navy?
