He taught himself to play other instruments including Hammond organ, mandolin, bass, drums and old time banjo.
He would pull out his records, which included players like Chuck Berry, Carl Perkins, Scotty Moore, Jimmy Reed, John Lee Hooker, Lightin’ Hopkins and The Ventures and have Jack learn certain songs.
