Supervision was good but the promotion process concentrated more on education then Job Performance and Experience. On balance I had a very positive experience with the SDPD and would recommend it if law enforcement is your thing.While I loved the job and most of the officers I worked with.

Great benefits and pay.This job is an ok job to work for if you like working for a group of people that also work and like to work. I loved the tracking of suspects and reference back to ongoing crime in the area.

East Village can be meddlesome. Police work is tough, with that said I enjoyed working at SDPD. If you are interested in law enforcement in the county of San Diego or even the state of California, the San Diego Police Dept is an excellent place to work.My time with the San Diego police Department taught me a lot about the world around me.
