The trailers promised so much and with a lead actor like Michael Fassbender on board, it had the potential to be one of the most intense films of the year. I can’t resist watching it even now as a grown adult! Rightly so, the book is beautiful with a lovely story line but for me the illustrations are the selling point.

If you enjoy detective thrillers i'd say check it out, you'll have a decent time. October 16, 2017 I t’s been a long time since I wanted to walk out of a film before the end. I made the mistake of reading the book again before watching the movie So had high expectations. It’s handsomely photographed and it has a great cast, but it doesn’t accomplish either of these goals.
