It has the wonderful Ian McShane before he was all "dead inside" in Deadwood. Let’s be frank: if you’re looking at this film it’s very likely you’re passionate about contemporary music, high level theatre, or a personal friend of Stephen Sondheim. Super fucked up that the pedophile character is just like completely forgiven and depicted as the hero at the end of the movie tho huh?A well crafted whodunnit that nevertheless feels like it stops halfway through, dismisses most of the cast and ends with an info dump.Just a list of some pretty cool movie posters on the LB database. The cast just has so much fun, and by the second half I was watching it with a massive smile on my face for how much of a fun thrill ride it was. When the twists kept coming I just said out loud "Holy shit!" Script written by Norman Bates and Sweeney Todd. Worth the rental price for sure. Steven Sondheim and Anthony Perkins are an insane writing duo and this movie is exactly what you’d expect from that combination. It may be the most fun murder mystery film I've seen - I'm not particularly well versed on the genre as a whole but this was just utterly genius!
A mystery with tends to grasp your every nerve, every moment as it passes you are in for who…This is either a film that portrays homosexuality as an action, or shows a man come out to his wife, or shows a man lie to his wife, or shows a man admit that someone else thought of him as a homosexual, and I'm not sure which one it is.
