The 2015 repressing is too smooth and polite, I got rid of it once I A/B'd them.
Have this first uk pressing.but rca West German cd from 84 is close second. Kind of a disappointing silver, more like swirly grey. New Submission It was a gift and I'm right happy about it. the vocals sit well in the mix, the instruments are balanced perfectly and the clarity is exceptional. Probably bought early 70s. Nice driving low end and punchy drums. Saturday there are 48 for sale online on Discogs alone.

Nice detail. The cover says LSP-4852 but then has a label placed over it that says AFL1-4852, but the record itself is labeled as LSP-4852 (CPRS-4544). The blue and red of the original sleeve are very specific and on this sleeve, which they've clearly attempted to make a reasonable job of by reproducing the original gatefold and inner, they are nothing like the original. Of those 3 albums, "Hunky Dory", Aladdin Sane" and the actual Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars album, I think this is the most musically consistent and the re-mastering is a revelation to me of how much I was missing on the original vinyl (which I still have) A very worthwhile re-master and a … Ronson sounds like he's wielding a chainsaw. Maybe worth it if it was signed...... Claims to be a remaster but it's not heavy-handed for sure, more like a well-mixed slab fresh delivered from the 70s, crisp and mid-strong.
