You shouldn't start. AbeBooks is responsible for their sellers and if they set stronger requirements, their sellers would hold to higher standards and they'd have better reviews. It was worth it though, as they gave me the product I wanted exactly and it was packaged really well, wrapped up in three clear layers when I ripped open the parcel. To channel an old anti-drug PSA: Abe Books. Books advertised as hardcovers turn out to be paperbacks 15-20 percent of the time. The seller would not respond to me until I reported them and now I have to pay to send the book back and go through all this hassle. Anyways I will be buying from abebooks again, great selection, many used books to save lots of money, even cheaper than amazon which by the way often has books for $1 and by the time you have done the checkout and paid for it it can be $6-10 because of expensive shipping and taxes and fees. In follow up I contacted Abe's but was completely ignored.
They sent me an email recently that the book I ordered from them was not the advertised quality and that their packers caught the mistake.
I have yet to receive this book. Save yourself the grief and find a reputable online book seller. The book i received had no resemblance to the actual title i orginally ordered. Inside was the box, which included the book and the complimentary three audio CD's. First book was damaged, second book was questionably new, and third book was a softcover. Now I know why Amazon is the best - at least they deliver.
